We recently added the ability to send real video text messages in our app. Real video texting allows you to send weekly devotionals, event reminders, sermons, and other multimedia ministry content. It’s been a huge hit, and we’ve seen lots of engagement and benefit from this feature.
Based on user feedback, we’ve now updated the app so that you can attach a picture or video text without requiring an accompanying text message. Previously, our app would make you enter a text message anytime you wanted to send rich media content like photos or videos. But as many of you pointed out, sometimes the picture or video speaks for itself and no additional text is needed!
So in this latest update, feel free to attach that perfect graphic or meaningful video without needing to come up with contrived accompanying text. Let the media do the talking and move the conversation along. We think this will allow you to communicate more easily and effectively using the multimedia formats that resonate most right now.
Now, you can—no need to attach your picture or video to a text message. Just select Add Image or Add Video (beta) (you can attach one or the other but not both at the same time); upload your media; and click Send.
As always, we aim to continuously improve the app based on real user feedback. So let us know if you have any other suggestions or ideas for features to help you minister more effectively!
