Video 1 The evolution of the guest follow-up strategy
About Video 1
Not that long ago, most people were born, grew up and lived within a small radius. Pastors knew everyone who came to church and typically saw their parishioners ‘around town’ throughout the week. As technology developed, people began spreading out, often changing locations several times during their lives. So, there was a need to develop tools to help pastors get to know and stay in touch with their congregations: the well-known ‘first-time guest follow-up strategy’.
This video is a recap of the history of guest follow-up tools. Before moving forward, it is often useful to remember where we’ve been. Also, we believe that the most successful guest follow-up process is an AND rather than an EITHER/OR strategy. So, all tools have their place, depending on your church culture and the role you fill in your community.
However, HOW you use those tools is often the make or break difference.
So go ahead and check out this short presentation (about 5 minutes) and stay tuned for the additional videos in our series.
