Streamlining PastorsLine: Introducing Customizable Menus for a Tailored User Experience

Over the years, PastorsLine has evolved to meet the diverse needs of various churches, resulting in a feature-rich platform. While this growth has allowed us to serve a wide range of clients, we’ve received feedback that the abundance of options can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for volunteers and non-technical users.

We’ve listened to your concerns and are excited to introduce a new customization feature that allows you to tailor the PastorsLine interface to your specific needs. This update aims to simplify the user experience and make our platform more accessible to all users, regardless of their technical expertise.

Customizing the Main and Bottom Menus

Top-level customization

• You can now customize both the main (top) menu and the bottom menu.
• Access this feature by clicking the “Customize” link or navigating to “Preferences” in the “My Profile” menu.
• In the “Customize Menu” section, you’ll find checkboxes for various options.
• Simply check or uncheck items to show or hide them from your view.
• Hidden items will be moved to a “More” menu, keeping them accessible but out of the way.

Streamlining the filters panel

• The second level of customization focuses on the filters panel, which appears when you click on a main panel item.
• For example, under “Voice,” you’ll find options like Incoming, Outgoing, Missed Calls, and Voicemail.
• Under “Text,” you’ll see options such as Unread and Sent.
• Click on any of these items to move them to a hidden section below, further decluttering your interface.
