Your church groups are the heart of your digital communication strategy. Whether directly in PastorsLine or via one of our integrations [ Breeze, Elvanto (Tithe.ly), Mailchimp, Planning Center (PCO), Pushpay/CCB and now Rock RMS (beta) ], your member and first-time guest groups allow you  to extend your reach beyond the physical walls of your church, connecting with your people on a whole new level.

In addition, digital church groups help you build stronger relationships among members. You can even connect  like-minded believers who might not be geographically close. This fosters a sense of belonging and community, even when physical gatherings may be limited or not possible.

That’s why effectively managing your groups is so important. So, PastorsLine has added two group-related improvements.

Duplicates

For many reasons, people might share a phone number. When you add people to a group, you want to be able to see all of them, not just the primary contact person. Now if there are duplicates (group members using the same phone number) you will be able to see them. The downward arrow after a person’s details indicates duplicated (see purple arrow in image below). Click on the arrow to reveal the list.

Group management directly from the Messages View

Of course, our PastorsLine has a Groups view. However, a big part of your group-related connection is going to be via the Messages you send them. For this reason, we have added group management directly from the Messages view.

3-dot Action Menu

Once inside a group message, you can select one or more group members and then apply common management actions. This is a great timesaver. And since time is one of our most important resources, you now have some extra to get around to things that have been on your To-Do list for a little too long.
